Ambassador Hotel is Gone
Its official. The historic Ambassador Hotel has been completely demolished. All that remains is a heap of rubble and what is left of a lonely Cocoanut Grove. There's not much else to say, its a sad sad day...

"Demolition workers brought down the last remnants of Wilshire Boulevard's historic Ambassador Hotel on Monday as they continued to clear space for a $270-million Los Angeles Unified School District campus. Only the Cocoanut Grove portion of the 85-year-old hotel remains standing. It will be converted into an auditorium for the site's planned high school..."
