Glendale Historic Districts
In recent years, the City of Glendale has demonstrated a strong committment to preserving the architectural character of its historic neighborhoods through the creation of local historic districts. Neighborhoods such as Cumberland Heights, Adams Hill, Rossmoyne, Crescenta Valley area, and others rich in architectural style have all benefited from the combined efforts of city leaders, staff, and local residents.
As the next critical step in the process, the Glendale Planning Division is hosting meetings throughout the city to inform the public of the city's newly-created Historic District Guidelines. The meetings afford all residents the opportunity to learn more about these guidelines and show their support for the historic districting process.
Four public meeting venues were chosen to accomodate residents of areas where there has been extensive interest in establishing historic districts. Two of the scheduled meetings have already passed - two remain. They are:
Monday January 23rd, 7pm-9pm Brand Library, Recital Hall 1601 Mountain St (Enter at Grandview)Monday January 30th, 7pm-9pm
Sparr Heights Senior Center
1613 Glencoe Way (Paloma is nearest cross St)
