Gamble House Film Screening

On Sunday, November 13th, The Huntingon Library and Gardens will hold a film screening of "With Heart and Hand: The Restoration of the Gamble House." Three years in the making, the film is a 55-minute documentary of the recently completed restoration and conservation of the Gamble House in Pasadena.

Designed by Charles and Henry Greene in 1908 for David and Mary Gamble of the Proctor and Gamble Company, the Gamble House is one of the foremost examples of American Arts and Crafts style architecture. The film includes an exploration of the life and work of the Greenes, their relationship to the Arts and Crafts Movement, and their influence in the history of architecture in California and the United States.

The Gamble House, a National Historic Landmark, is owned by the City of Pasadena and operated by the University of Southern California. It is open for public tours.

The screening is free and open to the public. For more information visit: http://www.huntington.org/Information/EventsCal.html
