Preservation Guidebook
Earlier this year, the Getty Conservation Institute issued a publication entitled, Incentives for the Preservation and Rehabilitation of Historic Homes in the City of Los Angeles: A Guidebook for Homeowners. An excellent resource for historic preservation in Los Angeles, this publication is part of the GCI's ongoing effort to to conduct a citywide survey of historic resources.
In an interview conducted by The Planning Report, Kathryn Welch Howe discusses the GCI's program and its importance to preserving Los Angeles' civic and cultural heritage. Information on the Los Angeles Historic Resource Survey Project and copies of the incentives guidebook are available free of charge in PDF format on the Getty's website.
